তোমার চুটকি

Hours have passed 

since you left all of us 

the hope we had 

was shattered in few seconds 

The backbone of our home  

started shedding tears,

the lakshmi of the household was broken seeing the sudden leave of the angel.

hours have passed

still trying to understand the emptiness filled in my heart,

the existence of a person

just vanished after the burn

memories do stay, but just in a photograph

which will hung up on our wall, forever in our lives. 

tears rolled down my cheeks 

thinking that you are gone

after all you wanted to be free

to be with daadu,

leaving all the pain which you never deserved 

and moreover, to be away from your young stubborn grand daughter so that you can eat all the filthy things you ate.

She was the one who draped maa's dupatta as a saree,

she was the one who fought me to watch her serials,

she was the one who used to buy me birthday dresses,

she was the one who scolded me for not studying as well,

She was also the one who was hard as diamonds but was a beautiful feather for all of her grandkids.

There's plenty of memories which will never be expressed through words

but will surely be alive in our hearts.

There will be no one to compliment us the way you did ,

there will be no one to ask me to change the channel,

there will be no one to love all of us the way you did,

there will be no one to sit and wait for us or watch us leaving, in the verandah from our house.

It took me hours to understand 

what happened infront of my eyes

to witness the first death so closely and above all of such a person

The way she left us was peaceful yet mesmerising,

the way she was carried away on strong shoulders was like a queen of eternity. 

and now she's gone

leaving her legacies with full of  memories 

to cherish and enjoy each single day of our lives.

I cannot put into words 

the pain I have lately felt 

what more could I do for you থানী?
